After performing alongside Eric Clapton, Robert Cray, Buddy Guy, and Jimmie Vaughan, Stevie Ray Vaughan boarded a helicopter that crashed shortly after takeoff in foggy conditions. All five people aboard lost their lives.

The guitarist was only 35 years old.
