Carson Daly is setting the record straight after NBC announced that Keke Palmer will host the upcoming The Voice Celebrity, prompting speculation that his time with the franchise had come to an end.

The longtime host addressed the rumors directly on social media, assuring fans that he is not leaving The Voice and explaining why Palmer is taking over hosting duties for the new celebrity edition.

After NBC unveiled The Voice Celebrity on Aug. 4, Daly shared a nostalgic photo from the show’s original 2011 season featuring Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, CeeLo Green and Blake Shelton.

He explained that the celebrity edition is a completely different format from the show’s traditional competition.

“So today we announced our new upcoming ‘Celebrity’ version of @nbcthevoice,” Daly wrote. “It’s a new concept than what has aired for 30 seasons.”

Unlike the original series, the celebrity spinoff will feature well-known personalities competing instead of everyday singers.

Daly also explained why he believed Keke Palmer was a better fit to front the celebrity version of the show.

“I am not the right host for it,” he wrote, referencing conversations he’d already had about the project on NBC’s TODAY.

Instead, he praised Palmer’s versatility and enthusiasm.

“We have a NEW amazing HOST! The triple threat queen @keke who is PERFECT for it!”

Palmer already has an established relationship with NBC through her role as host of Password, making her a familiar face for the network.

Responding directly to reports suggesting he had been replaced, Daly made his position clear.

“Many today have asked if I’m leaving the show. Nope.”

He revealed that NBC plans to run both formats simultaneously, with him continuing to host the original competition while remaining involved behind the scenes on the celebrity edition.

“I have hosted & produced every single second of the show since day one,” Daly noted, adding that he will serve as a producer on The Voice Celebrity.

Daly will return as host when Season 30 premieres on Sept. 21.

The coaching panel will feature returning favorites Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson, alongside newcomers Queen Latifah and Riley Green.

The season marks another milestone for the singing competition, which has been on the air since 2011.

NBC has scheduled The Voice Celebrity to premiere in spring 2027.

While the network has not yet announced the celebrity contestants or revealed the complete format, it has confirmed that the coaching panel will include Queen Latifah, Riley Green and Joe Jonas, with Palmer serving as host.

Daly will remain involved as an executive producer, helping launch the new version while continuing his hosting duties on the flagship series.

For now, his message to fans is simple: despite the new spinoff, he isn’t going anywhere.
