Kid Rock’s upcoming festival appearance draws attention as fans resell tickets online

Michael Michael, August 13, 2026August 13, 2026

Kid Rock’s upcoming headlining performance at the Rock the Country festival in Michigan has generated online discussion after some attendees began listing their tickets for resale just days before the event.

Posts advertising festival passes have appeared on the event’s Facebook page ahead of the two-day country music festival, which is scheduled for Aug. 8 and 9 in Hastings, Michigan. While ticket resales are common before large events, the listings prompted conversation among fans as Kid Rock prepares to headline in his home state.

Several users on the Rock the Country festival’s Facebook page have posted listings offering tickets and camping passes for sale.

The listings include Sunday-only admission, two-day general admission wristbands, camping wristbands and vehicle passes, with sellers offering a range of prices.

Although the number of resale listings has attracted attention online, there is no indication that the festival is experiencing unusually low attendance, and fans frequently resell tickets for scheduling, travel or personal reasons.

The Hastings event marks one of the final stops on this year’s Rock the Country festival series.

Kid Rock is scheduled to headline the festival in his home state alongside a lineup featuring Jason Aldean, Brantley Gilbert, Ashley Cooke, Chase Matthew and Colton Bowlin.

The festival has branded itself as a celebration of country music and small-town America, bringing major touring artists to cities that do not often host large-scale music festivals.

Lineup changed before the tour began

The 2026 edition of Rock the Country experienced several lineup changes before launching earlier this year.

Artists including Jelly Roll, Ludacris and Morgan Wade withdrew from scheduled appearances before the festival opened in May. Organizers adjusted the lineup with replacement performers as the tour continued across multiple states.

Despite those changes, the festival has continued with its scheduled stops throughout the summer.

Ticket resale is common before major concerts

Listings appearing shortly before a concert are not unusual in the live entertainment industry.

Fans often sell tickets because of travel conflicts, scheduling changes or other personal circumstances, particularly for multi-day festivals that require camping or extended stays.

Without official attendance figures or statements from organizers, the resale listings alone do not establish how ticket demand compares with previous events.

Rock the Country’s Hastings stop was scheduled for Aug. 8 and 9, with Kid Rock leading the Saturday lineup and Jason Aldean serving as Sunday’s headliner.

The two-day Michigan stop was set to feature performances from several country artists, along with camping options and other festival activities at the Barry Expo Center.
