Morgan Wallen Concert Incident Leads to Arrest and Multiple Criminal Charges

An incident at a Morgan Wallen concert in Baltimore has resulted in an arrest weeks after a family alleged that a fellow concertgoer urinated on them while they were watching the country star perform.

Maryland Transportation Authority Police identified the suspect as 33-year-old Jayson Reed. According to authorities cited by People and TMZ, Reed was arrested in North Carolina following an investigation into what allegedly happened during Wallen’s July 18 concert at M&T Bank Stadium. He now faces four counts of second-degree assault, public urination and related offenses.

The Incident Happened During Wallen’s Baltimore Concert

Wallen brought his Still the Problem Tour to Baltimore for two performances on July 17 and July 18. The second show featured Ella Langley, Gavin Adcock and Jason Scott & The High Heat as supporting performers.

The incident under investigation occurred during the July 18 show.

According to People, concertgoer Troy Grevelding said he attended the performance with family members when a man positioned near them allegedly began urinating in the seating area. Grevelding alleged that he and members of his family were struck by the urine.

The disturbing episode eventually attracted the attention of stadium personnel and law enforcement.

Police Initially Responded to an Altercation

According to the Maryland Transportation Authority Police account reported by People, officers initially responded to an altercation at M&T Bank Stadium.

The suspect was escorted from the venue, but investigators subsequently learned more about the alleged urination incident. Detectives located and interviewed additional witnesses who had not been questioned when officers first responded.

Authorities ultimately identified Reed as the alleged suspect.

TMZ reported that police arrested him in North Carolina after consulting with the Baltimore City State’s Attorney’s Office during their investigation.

The charges are allegations, and Reed should be considered innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.

Reed Is Facing Four Assault Counts

What initially appeared to be an outrageous concert disturbance has now developed into a criminal case involving several charges.

Authorities say Reed faces four counts of second-degree assault as well as a public urination charge and other related offenses. As of the August 12 reports, he remained in custody in North Carolina while awaiting extradition to Maryland.

People reported that Grevelding was attending the concert with his wife, brother and two nieces. He told the publication that the man appeared intoxicated and had returned to an incorrect seat before the alleged incident occurred.

Grevelding and his family have continued seeking answers about how the situation was handled. People reported that the family has been in communication with a senior executive connected to the venue and wants accountability following what happened.

There is also no indication that Wallen himself had any involvement in the incident. It occurred among concertgoers while his tour was visiting the stadium.

Wallen Played Two Nights at M&T Bank Stadium

The Baltimore performances were part of Wallen’s extensive 2026 Still the Problem Tour.

Official information from M&T Bank Stadium confirms that Wallen was booked there on July 17 and 18, with different supporting lineups across the two evenings. Brooks & Dunn appeared on the first night, while Ella Langley was scheduled for July 18. Gavin Adcock and Jason Scott & The High Heat were also part of the Baltimore dates.

The July 18 concert continued despite the incident, with Wallen taking the stage later that evening. His set included songs such as “Last Night,” “You Proof,” “Whiskey Glasses” and “Sand in My Boots.”

The criminal investigation developed separately after the concert was over.
