Lucy Davis, the British actress beloved for playing Dawn Tinsley in the original UK version of The Office, has revealed that she is living with stage 4 breast cancer that has spread to her bones.

Davis shared the deeply personal news publicly on Aug. 11, explaining that she had actually received the diagnosis about a year and a half earlier. The 53-year-old actress said the cancer has metastasized to her spine, right hip and ribs and described her illness as incurable. She specifically identified her spine, right hip and ribs as locations affected by the metastatic cancer. Davis also said that her cancer is “incurable” and that it was “too late for chemo.”
