Michael Michael, August 13, 2026

Keke Palmer is embracing a low-maintenance approach to beauty, revealing that shaving her legs is simply not part of her regular routine.

During an appearance on the Are You Okay? show, the actress and podcast host spoke candidly about body hair, explaining that she rarely reaches for a razor and doesn’t feel pressured to conform to traditional beauty expectations.

Her comments quickly resonated with fans, adding to the ongoing conversation about body confidence and personal choice.

When asked to share something she isn’t embarrassed to admit, Palmer didn’t hesitate.

“I don’t really shave my legs. I’m not doing it,” she said, jokingly mimicking the repetitive motion of shaving.

She added that anyone bothered by the hair on her legs simply might not be the right match for her.

“If you don’t like me because of the hair on my legs, then we’re not meant to be,” Palmer said.

Her lighthearted response reflected a broader message about feeling comfortable making personal grooming decisions without worrying about outside opinions.

Although Palmer rarely shaves, she explained that she isn’t completely opposed to removing body hair.

Instead of using a razor regularly, she said she occasionally uses a depilatory cream.

“Every six months, I might slap some Nair on there,” she joked, adding that she has no interest in spending time shaving on a frequent basis.

Her comments emphasized that grooming choices are ultimately a matter of personal preference rather than obligation.

Motherhood changed her relationship with her body

Palmer has also spoken openly in recent months about how becoming a mother reshaped the way she thinks about herself.

During a conversation with Whoopi Goldberg at the 2026 Tribeca Festival Storyteller event, she reflected on reconnecting with her body after welcoming her son, Leodis “Leo” Andrellton Jackson, in February 2023.

She explained that pregnancy felt like an out-of-body experience and prompted her to become more intentional about understanding and caring for herself afterward.

Pilates helped her reconnect

Palmer credited Pilates with helping her develop a stronger connection to her body.

She said the practice encouraged her to stay present, strengthen her core and become more mindful, lessons that extended beyond exercise into everyday life.

According to Palmer, motherhood also reinforced the importance of prioritizing her own well-being because her son depends on her.

She described parenthood as a gift that helped her recognize what she deserves simply through the experience of loving her child.

Embracing authenticity

Whether discussing motherhood, mental wellness or beauty routines, Palmer has consistently emphasized authenticity over outside expectations.

Her latest comments continue that approach, suggesting that confidence comes from making choices that feel right personally rather than following social norms.

For Palmer, skipping the razor isn’t a statement against beauty standards it’s simply one more example of living comfortably on her own terms.
